Vodafone, one of the pilot companies of the Business Against Domestic Violence Project (BADV), launched by Sabancı University Corporate Governance Forum with the cooperation of TÜSİAD and the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Sabancı Foundation organized a Red Minutes event to announce its policies to combat Domestic Violence. Vodafone Human Resources Director Bülent Bayram moderated a panel at the event held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Vodafone Conference Hall.

Sevda Alkan, Sabancı University Corporate Governance Forum, Women Empowerment Projects Manager, also spoke at the panel. Sevda Alkan, who gave information about the Business Against Domestic Violence Project, said that the project started in 2014 with a survey of 20 employees and that 17 companies volunteered in the first year and reached 52 companies including Vodafone in 2019. Alkan stated that the project was not limited to Istanbul and spread to provinces such as Bursa, Antalya and İzmir and organized industrial zones were also included in the project. She also mentioned the importance of companies to formulate policies to combat domestic violence and raise the awareness of employees about violence. Elif Elçi Çarıkçı from UNFPA and Edis Görgülü, UNFPA spokesperson were also speakers at the panel.
