The workshop for the Institutional Policy Development and Implementation Guide on Domestic Violence Against Women for Municipalities was held

The Sabanci University Corporate Governance Forum collaborated with the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB) as part of the Business Against Domestic Violence (BADV) Project, which was carried out with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Sabanci Foundation, and in collaboration with TÜSİAD. As a result of this collaboration, the workshop for the Institutional Policy Development and Implementation Guide on Domestic Violence Against Women for Municipalities was held on July 16. 

The workshop began with opening remarks by Union of Municipalities of Turkey Project and Finance Unit Officer Cemal Baş and BADV Project Manager Sevda Alkan and continued with a speech by Sabanci University Corporate Governance Forum (SU CGFT) Director Melsa Ararat, who provided information about the guideline development process.

With parallel sessions held in the workshop and participation from representatives of 14 different municipalities, the initial steps of the policy development guide were taken by sharing ideas on workplace policies to be developed in municipalities.
