BADV Network Seminar and Workshop Series Has Begun

The first event of the BADV Network’s Seminar and Workshop Series, prepared by the Network’s Education Committee based on the needs and requests of its members, took place on Tuesday, October 10th, hosted by Anadolu Sigorta.

Titled “Concepts and Roles of Gender Equality,” the seminar was about fundamental concepts and definitions of gender equality alongside their historical backgrounds. Berna Semiz Ergüntan, Corporate Communication and Sustainability Coordinator at Anadolu Sigorta, delivered the opening speech. The seminar continued with presentations from Özge Arık, Insurance Sales Manager, Melis Tutan, Corporate Communication and Sustainability Manager, and Burak Deligöz, Assistant Sustainability Manager, all representing the Anadolu Sigorta Equality Committee

Enriched by examples of best practices and experiences from the Anadolu Sigorta Equality Committee, the seminar provided participants with an opportunity to collectively reflect on concepts of gender equality, its applications, and potential avenues for improvement.

Under the leadership of the Education Committee, the Seminar and Workshop Series, scheduled every two months, will continue with new seminars and workshops focusing on topics that necessitate collective discussion and deeper exploration, particularly gender equality and domestic violence prevention.
