The Second Stop of the BADV Network Company Visits: Garanti BBVA
Organized by the BADV Network Event Committee, the second visit of the Company Visits Series took place at Salt Galata on October 27th, hosted by Garanti BBVA.
The event commenced with a presentation by Öykü Kayaalp, the Diversity and Inclusion Discipline Leader at Garanti BBVA, who shared Garanti BBVA’s policies and practices in combating domestic violence. Following this, a “case sharing” session, led by Alp Tunga, Senior Advisor for Talent and Culture, and Ecehan Yeşilova Çifçi, Partner Director at Garanti BBVA Emeklilik, featured examples of domestic violence cases within the institution and intervention methods.
The existence of the “Garanti BBVA Domestic Violence Platform,” composed of the “Talent and Culture Consultants” team working directly with domestic violence cases, the “Domestic Violence Policy” declaring the institutional perspective in combating domestic violence, and the “Domestic Violence Hotline” enabling employees experiencing violence to seek support 24/7, once again highlighted the importance of embracing a holistic approach in combating domestic violence.
Following the sessions, participants enjoyed a guided tour of the “Museum of Ottoman Bank” and the “No Further Records: Reşad Ekrem Koçu and İstanbul” exhibition, led by Salt Special Events Specialist Zerrin Kantaroğlu.
The subsequent destination for the company visits, held every two months to showcase exemplary policies and practices in combating domestic violence and promoting gender equality, will be Unilever.
