BADV Companies Network members gathered for the second event of the Companies Network Seminar and Workshop Series!
Today, at Minerva Han, the workshop titled "Diversity Management from Strategy to Implementation," led by Öykü Kayaalp, Diversity and Inclusion Discipline Leader at Garanti BBVA, and Niyazi Koçak, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist at Hugo Boss, took place. The workshop focused on the steps to create a corporate DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) strategy and methods to combat biases that hinder DE&I efforts.
In the section titled "Corporate DE&I Agenda," Öykü Kayaalp shared her experiences while discussing the historical background of diversity and inclusion concepts, different DE&I approaches, global examples, key considerations for establishing a corporate DE&I agenda, and the relationship between Web3 and DE&I. The session, enriched by contributions from participants, provided a comprehensive evaluation of DE&I strategies.
Following this, participants moved on to the workshop titled "Preparing for Change," led by Niyazi Koçak. In this interactive session, participants delved into the foundations of diversity and inclusion efforts, exploring how unconscious biases affect decision-making, their negative impact on professional life, and the importance and methods of combating these biases.
The Companies Network Seminar and Workshop Series will continue to bring members together with seminars and workshops on various topics every two months.
