The sixth event of the BADV Companies Network Company Visits took place at Oyak Renault

The sixth event of our Company Visits series, aimed at allowing BADV Companies Network members to learn from each other's experiences regarding gender equality and combating domestic violence, took place on May 29 at Oyak Renault's Bursa Automobile Factory.

The event began with opening speeches by Jan Ptacek, CEO of Renault Group Turkey, Kaan Özkan, General Manager of Oyak Renault, and Esen Özdemir, BADV Project Coordinator. This was followed by a site visit to the factory’s assembly section, where employees explained the stages of the assembly process.

After the factory visit, the event continued with a presentation by Tolga Gorgulu, Oyak Renault's HR & Ethics and Compliance Director, who emphasized that the company's primary policy is to act on the principle of “zero tolerance” towards all forms of violence and discrimination. Ekin Cavdar, Coordinator of Employee Experience, Diversity and Inclusion, along with Sibel Bayat, Director of Supply Chain and President of Women@RenaultGroup Turkey, and Işıl G., Supply Chain Executive Assistant, shared the company's policies and practices in the areas of inclusion and diversity. The event, coordinated by the Oyak Renault Communications Directorate, concluded with a presentation of the company's efforts in combating violence against women.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Oyak Renault for hosting the Companies Network members, inspiring us with their work in diversity, inclusion, and combating violence, and for demonstrating once again how crucial top management’s ownership of these efforts is in creating a non-violent and equitable corporate culture.

You can access Oyak Renault's two important publications that highlight their work in this area, “Gender Equality and Inclusive Language Guide in Business Life” and “No to Violence Against Women Awareness Guide,” on the company’s website.
