Members of the BADV Network gathered at the Workshop Event!

On June 26th, at Minevra Han, members of the BADV Network gathered for a workshop titled "Gathering Baggage: Workshop on [Critical] Perspectives on Man, Masculinity, and Masculinities'' led by Dr. Oğuz Can Ok.

During the workshop, critical discussions were held on topics such as men, masculinity, and masculinities to advance the corporate gender equality agenda and share experiences.

The first part of the workshop, titled “Understanding & Seeing”, focused on the importance of men’s involvement in the fight for gender equality and critical evaluation of the concepts like masculinity, man, and masculinities through examples of prevalent myths on these subjects.

The second part, titled ‘’Explaining & Including’’, drew from the experiences of BADV companies to address questions regarding the inclusion of a critical perspective on masculinity in efforts to combat domestic violence, companies’ initiatives in promoting gender equality, and the sustainability of these efforts.
