2024 BADV Training Program Continues!
The fourth module of the BADV Training Program, titled “Violence Against Women and the Health Approach,” took place today from 13:30 to 17:30.
The training was delivered by Gökhan Yıldırımkaya, Reproductive Health Program Coordinator at the United Nations Population Fund Turkey (UNFPA Turkey), and Müge Tellioğlu, Sexual Health, Reproductive Health, and Family Planning Program Analyst at UNFPA Turkey. The session thoroughly examined the health dimension of violence against women, the importance of health and support processes for survivors, and the relationship between sexual and reproductive health and working life.
Yıldırımkaya and Tellioğlu emphasized that lack of access to sexual and reproductive health rights is a form of violence. Therefore, they highlighted that company policies on combating domestic violence should also support employees’ access to these rights.
The training program will continue with “Module 6: Effective Communication.”
