2024 BADV Training Program Continues!
The second session of the BADV Training program's second module, titled "Institutions and Organizations to Contact in the Fight Against Violence Against Women (UNFPA)," took place on October 3 from 10:00 to 12:00.
The training, led by Yasemin Akis Kalaylıoğlu, the Gender Program Coordinator for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Turkey, covered several key topics. In the first part, participants learned about the institutions and organizations that women experiencing violence can turn to, their roles and responsibilities, and the protective and preventive measures that can be implemented under Law No. 6284. The importance of a multifaceted and comprehensive approach throughout this process was emphasized.
In the second part of the training, Canan Güllü, President of the Turkish Women's Associations Federation (TKDF), and Nazlı Özlem Atmaca, President of the Ankara Bar Association's Gelincik Center, joined the session to share their field experiences in preventing violence against women. Both speakers stressed that collaboration between the private sector and civil society is crucial in preventing violence against women and expressed their desire to strengthen this cooperation.
The BADV Training Program for 2024 will continue with the following modules: "Module 3: Communication Techniques with Employees Experiencing Violence," "Module 4: Violence Against Women and Health Approach," "Module 5: Monitoring and Evaluation," and "Module 6: Effective Communication and Transfer."
