Conference on the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence Against Women and Girls in Central Asia

UNDP, UNFPA, UN Women and UNICEF held the Conferans on Prevention of Gender-based Violence Against Women and Girls in Central Asia in Bishkek on 5-6 November. Regional and international legal experts from the Central Asian countries, UN representatives and other global and regional organizations, academia and media representatives participated in the conference. Sevda Alkan, Project Manager of Business Against Domestic Violence, took part as a speaker at the panel titled ‘Innovative Partnerships and Social Mobilization bahs and talked about the project and the importance of business, academia and business organizations working together in this field. At the conference, measures and solutions to be addressed to prevent gender-based violence against women and girls regionally were discussed.
