The fourth event of the BADV Companies Network Expert Webinar Series took place online!

On Tuesday, December 5, from 10:30 to 11:30, we gathered for a webinar titled "Equal Participation of Women in Politics," moderated by BADV Project Coordinator Esen Özdemir, featuring Prof. Dr. Serpil Sancar.

During the event, we discussed women’s equal participation in politics, focusing on their struggles to gain civil and political rights before and during the Republic, representation rates in local and national decision-making mechanisms in Turkey, the significance of international agreements for Turkey, and the societal impact of women's equal participation in politics in the fight against violence.

In honor of December 5, 1934, the date when women in Turkey gained the right to vote and stand for election, we had the opportunity to talk again about the importance of women's struggles and the transformative power of equal participation in all areas of life.
